Consumerism in the next generation: AI televisions and super processors

The big technology exhibition – CES, which is taking place these days in Las Vegas, brings innovations from many of the largest manufacturers in the world, we have collected the interesting innovations, some of which we will probably see already this year in Israel.

Intel introduced its next generation gaming processor – Core Ultra 200HX which comes with up to 24 next generation cores, frequencies that climb up to 5.5 GHz and an artificial intelligence processor (NPU) capable of providing 13 trillion operations per second. These are the most powerful gaming processors that Intel has to offer for laptops, which also include built-in WiFi 7 support, Thunderbolt 5 compatibility and a series of improvements in a package that is 33% smaller than the previous generation.

Intel emphasizes that the new range of H and HX processors includes 11 different models: five Intel Core Ultra 200H processors and six Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors – all of which combine performance cores (P-cores) and efficiency cores (E-cores) from the next generation. HX models are able to reach 99 TOPS (CPU + GPU + NPU), a figure that represents a real leap forward in AI processing in laptops. The company adds that more than 40 new laptops with HX processors are coming to the market, along with dozens of additional H models – including more than 20 that combine discrete graphics alongside built-in Intel Arc graphics. According to Intel, such a combination of graphic power, artificial intelligence and smart power consumption management redefines the mobile gaming experience, making it possible for the first time to “attack” demanding games and work on heavy projects without compromising mobility and continuous operation for hours.

Blue-white innovation

At the same time, Intel also presents the new Core 200H series for laptops at CES. These processors, based on the Raptor Lake architecture of the previous generation with significant improvements, are the product of a groundbreaking collaboration between the Fab 28 manufacturing plant in Kiryat Gat and the development center in Haifa. The idea to develop these processors came up for the first time in Israel in joint think-tanks with the CEOs of Intel Israel Daniel Ben Atar, Karin Eivshitz Segal, together with the most senior managers of Intel Israel in development and production: Itzik Seilis, Oren Cohen, Keren Erlich and Mirav Ben Hamo. For the first time at Intel, Integrated development and production teams worked together from the early planning stages, incorporating the unique knowledge and expertise of the Kiryat Gat plant In improving advanced manufacturing processes, this collaboration made it possible to use the full potential of the Intel 7 manufacturing technology on which the chips are based and to achieve a significant performance improvement.

“The Fab 28 plant in Kiryat Gat took an active part in the development of the processor, while adjusting the production processes to maximize optimal performance,” explain Yoni Azran, process development manager at Intel Kiryat Gat, Tomer Sasson, vice president of Intel’s personal computing group, and Shay Peretz, department manager at Intel Kiryat Gat . “This is an excellent example of Israeli innovation, in which the development center and the production plant work together to bring advanced products to the market. The production of the new processors is currently being done in Israel, at the Fab 28 factory.”

High definition wireless TV

LG announced at the CES 2025 exhibition its most advanced TV series, which includes the OLED evo 2025 screens and the innovative QNED evo series, which bring the home viewing experience to new heights of technology and design. The OLED evo models, led by the wireless TV, the OLED evo M5, offer up to three times improved brightness compared to the previous models thanks to the Brightness Booster Ultimate technology.

Combined with the latest LG Genn21 innovative α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, the screens provide vivid colors, absolute black, and an accurate image in changing lighting conditions. Alongside this, the QNED evo series focuses on premium technologies with 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz that guarantee a particularly smooth image and an impressive viewing experience even in high-traffic content. This series combines image and sound processing based on artificial intelligence, alongside advanced wireless capabilities, which provide maximum comfort and uncompromising quality. Thanks to a combination of innovation, luxurious design and breakthrough technologies, these series place LG at the top of the global premium television market.

In the field of gaming screens, LG introduced the revolutionary UltraGear GX9 gaming screen, which includes 5K2K resolution, convex panels with WOLED technology and a coating that reduces reflections, which provides a deep, immersive and extremely comfortable gaming experience. The flagship model 45GX990A even won the prestigious Best of Innovation award at the exhibition, showcasing LG’s commitment to integrating advanced technologies in the world of gaming.

In addition, LG announced at CES 2025 its new series of audio products, “XBOOM BY WILL.I.AM”, a collaboration with the famous musician and technology entrepreneur will.i.am. The series includes carefully designed Bluetooth speakers and headphones with a unique sound signature, characterized by bass and treble that blend in harmony to create a rich and exciting sound. The electrical and technology concern TCL also revealed at the exhibition the first integration of Gemini artificial intelligence tools inside the Google TVs for voice commands instead of remote control. In addition, the company unveiled its most advanced technologies for premium QLED televisions, which guarantee dramatically improved performance in the large screen lineup.

Fortnite design storage drives

Western Digital launched at CES 2025 the new SanDisk Creator series, designed to empower content creators and facilitate their creation process, with professional products such as the SanDisk Creator Phone SSD compatible with MagSafe, microSD and SD UHS-II memory cards and portable drives such as the Creator Phone Drive and Creator Pro Portable SSD. The product series provides solutions with high capacities, fast read and write speeds, and resistance to harsh conditions – while adapting to the needs of content creators. In addition, the SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive was also launched, an ultra-fast flash drive with USB-A and USB-C support for intensive file management and easy switching between devices.

For Fortnite fans, a unique collection has been launched that includes the SanDisk Fortnite Portable SSD in a Peely design and a capacity of up to 2TB, and the SanDisk Fortnite USB Flash Drive.
