Goal will begin to use in the coming weeks the shared content publicly in its social networks to train artificial intelligence (AI) that it develops, for which it will report the data it collects and its purpose, and facilitate a form to oppose.
The technology company has resumed its plans to use the data of adult users of its services to train its artificial intelligence models, something that will benefit “both people and companies.”
As reported on Monday in a press release, you will start using the data for training your models in the coming weeks, although before, starting this week, you will send emails and notify users through the applications to explain the situation.
Specifically, he pointed out that he will use comments and publications shared publicly by adult users in their social networks, but also interactions with goal AI. Leave out the data of minors and direct messages.
Likewise, notifications will include a link, which will lead to a form with which users can oppose the target use of their data for training.
This announcement recovers the plans that the company ended up suspending in the summer last year, when it canceled the release of its models in the European Union due to the regulations approved in relation to the use of AI and user data.
This follows the opinion issued in December by the European Data Protection Committee (CEPD), which confirmed that the original finish line complied with its legal obligations, and the work done since then with the Ireland Data Protection Commission (IDPC).
