The upcoming free-to-play open-world action RPG, Neverness to Everness (NTE), is positioned as a title that will take full advantage of the hardware capabilities of the new PlayStation 5 Pro console. Developed by Hotta Studio, a subsidiary of Perfect World Games, NTE promises a visually and technically impressive experience set in a modern metropolis where the supernatural intertwines with the everyday.
Optimization for the new generation
Neverness to Everness will bring significant improvements precisely to the PS5 Pro console. The game will, as announced, support the latest PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) technology, which will ensure a stable 4K display at 60 frames per second without flickering. Thanks to a more powerful graphics processor, the game will use advanced effects such as volumetric fog and Distance Field Ambient Occlusion for a better display of distant objects. On the base PS5 model, NTE will offer 4K resolution and a fluid open-world experience, while taking advantage of the DualSense controller, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that will simulate braking and acceleration resistance.
More than just fighting in the city of Hethereau
NTE is set in the sprawling city of Hethereau, where players take on the role of an “Appraiser” and investigate paranormal phenomena. But the game is not just about fighting. One of the key elements is the “City Tycoon” system that allows players to build their own business empire, manage stores and fill the garage with supercars. In addition, they can participate in various activities such as street racing, fishing or online Mahjong. The atmosphere of city life is completed by two significant collaborations: the gamer can drive iconic Porsche models, and listen to music from the popular RPG Persona 5 on the car radio.
The hardware requirements confirm the ambitions
That this is a technically very demanding title is confirmed by the high hardware requirements for PC and mobile devices. For example, 32 GB of RAM is recommended for the PC version, which is significantly more than the average for anr and ranks NTE alongside the most demanding modern games. Such specifications clearly speak of the developers’ ambition to create a dense, detailed and visually advanced urban environment.
Neverness to Everness is released on April 29, and will be available as a free-to-play game on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices.
