Fitbit extends the health features of its wearables with stress management and a sleep profile

Fitbit has presented the novelties in devices for monitoring health and physical activity, which include the Inspire 3 bracelet and the Versa 4 and Sense 2 watches along with new features for stress management and irregular heart rhythm notification.

The new generation of wearables upgrades from the entry-level Inspire 3 to the higher-end Sense 2 and Versa 4, which combine Fitbit’s health and wellness tools and features with smart features from Google.

Inspire 3 (99.95 euros) the new model of Fitbit’s entry range, an activity bracelet designed for a young audience, which presents a rectangular screen with rounded edges and corners and straps available in three colors (black, yellow and rose). Offers a autonomy of up to ten hours.

Versa 4 (229.95 euros), with its battery of up to six days and integrated GPS, includes monitoring of more than 40 activities and sports, including dancing as one of the novelties. It offers real-time statistics and the function ‘Minutes in Active Zone’ as well as Fitbit Premium features like ‘Daily Recovery Level’ with recommendations on when to take breaks.

The Versa 4 watch will later incorporate additional functions such as Google Wallet, and when it comes to its design, the company has opted for a design in line with previous models, but more thinner and lighter.

Sense 2 (299.95 euros), for its part, integrates a set of sensors capable of detecting signs of atrial fibrillation through the Electrocardiogram (ECG) application and the PPG algorithm, analyze the variability of heart rate and skin temperature, among other values.

This health-focused watch includes a new body feedback sensor continuous electrodermal analysis (cEDA), which detects and helps manage stress throughout the day. Among other things, it shows notifications when it detects a peak of stress in the user, and even asks about mood so that they reflect, along with recommendations so that they can do something about it.

All three devices include six-month subscription to Fitbit premium service. This also incorporates new functions, such as the ‘Daily recovery level’ and the ‘Sleep profile’, based on the patterns detected by the user and identified with a specific animal.
