xAI presents Grok Build, its new coding agent in initial beta phase

xAI has presented Grok Buildyour new encryption agent designed for professional software engineering and complex coding work, available in early beta for SuperGrok Heavy subscribers.

The artificial intelligence (AI) company led by Elon Musk intends to offer its own coding servicean agentive CLI (command line interface) for program, build applications and automate workflowsin the style of other technology companies in the sector such as Anthropic with Claude Code and OpenAI with Codex.

In this sense, xAI has launched the Grok Build initial betawhich is now available for subscriber users of SuperGrok Heavy -with a cost of 300 dollars per month (257.85 euros at the exchange rate)- so that they can test its capabilities and, based on their comments, improve the model.

As the company has explained on its website, Grok Build allows execute complex tasks with plan modewhich makes it easy to comment on individual steps or rewrite the plan entirely before execution begins. Likewise, once the plan is approved, it will carry out the task indicating each step.

Likewise, Grok Build works using the users’ AGENTS.md files, as well as their plugins, skills and MCP servers that work without additional configuration, simply by launching Grok Build in the users repository.

On the other hand, xAI has explained that, for “larger” tasks, Grok Build deploys tasks to specialized subagents that work in parallel. Likewise, it also has a graphical interface mode that allows you to easily run agents within ‘scripts’ and automations.
