At the official IFA Kick-Off event in Berlin, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be presented for the first time at the IFA fair in September this year. On that occasion, the company announced that they plan to invest 7.4 billion euros in research and development of artificial intelligence between 2026 and 2028, highlighting Europe as one of its key innovation centers.
At IFA, Xiaomi will present its “Human × Car × Home” ecosystem, which brings together connected devices, smart home and mobility solutions. The company has not yet revealed specific products, but it has confirmed that it will present some of the European premieres at the Berlin fair.
– Europe is not a market that we only visit. It is a region where we listen, learn and build – said Zeng Hua, director of public relations for Western Europe at Xiaomi Group. He added that in September, the company will present the way in which their ecosystem applies artificial intelligence in the daily use of various devices.
Xiaomi states that in the period from 2026 to 2030, it plans to invest a total of more than 24 billion euros in research and development. Investments will include artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, robotics, operating systems and other core technologies. The company emphasizes that it continues to expand its research and development activities in Europe, hire local experts and cooperate with European partners in order to adapt products to the needs of users in that market.
According to data published by Xiaomi, their AI ecosystem reached more than 1.1 billion connected devices in the world in the first quarter of 2026 and will cover more than 200 product categories, including devices for health, entertainment, household and personal mobility.
