Reclamation and urban regeneration, technical training in the field in Naples

The program focuses on sites of national interest (SIN) such as Bagnoli-Coroglio, an area destined to host the 38th America’s Cup in 2027, and the former petrochemical complex of Eastern Naplesthe subject of an extensive recovery plan managed by Q8. Bagnoli’s intervention involves the movement of approximately 1,000,000 cubic meters of excavation materials, using cutting-edge technologies such as thermal desorption, soil washing and phytoremediation. At the same time, in the Eastern Naples area, the project covers 38 hectares of land affected by historical contamination, where the reclamation process, financed entirely by private resources, uses methodologies such as land farming, thermal desorption and air sparging soil vapor extraction.

The Master, which was born from the collaboration between the Center for Advanced Studies for Defense, the structure of the Sole Commissioner for reclamation and the RemTech Expo network, aims to train professional profiles capable of managing the complexity of environmental processes.
