Sony presents its new all-in-one camera RX10 V, which comes with superzoom and AI autofocus

Sony has presented RX10 V, the fifth generation of its ‘all-in-one’ camera which comes with a ‘superzoom’ from 24 mm to 600mm, automatic focus based on artificial intelligence and battery life to take up to 630 photographs.

The RX10 series update brings an all-in-one camera aimed at hobbyists, offering focus automatic with real-time recognition based on artificial intelligence that accurately recognizes the object, even in motion, whether people, animals or vehicles.

Also supports high-speed continuous burst shooting, with up to 30 frames per second and full AF/AE tracking. It features a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS image sensor (approximately 20.1 MP effective) with integrated lens, spanning from 24mm to 600mm, allowing Take macro captures from a minimum distance of approximately 3 cm to 24 mm, and telemacro captures from approximately 72 cm to 600 mm.

In addition, users have at their disposal twelve presets called ‘Creative Looks’, with which the color and texture can be modified to personalize the captures. They can also use the Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) to balance highlights and dark shadows.

This camera records video in 4K at 120psupports up to 5x slow motion playback in 4K resolution and features image stabilization in active mode. Additional features include S-Cinetone for cinematic colors and tones, and S-Log3 for video recording with post-production grading in mind.

The electronic viewfinder is equipped with un panel OLED Quad-VGA type 0.5 with approximately 3.68 million dots and a magnification of approximately 0.78x, and with a 3.0 inch LCD monitor to see the objectives in detail with their approximately 1.62 million points. Its NP-FZ100 rechargeable battery allows you to take up to approximately 630 photographs.

At a design level, the layout of the buttons and the design of the grip is inspired by the design of the a series, and integrates a multi-selector that allows fluid operation in eight directions. The camera is resistant to dust and humidity, and has support for WiFi and USB Type-C connectivity.

Sony has reported that the RX10 V camera is available for pre-order starting this Thursday, with a price of 2,500 euros.
