The city of San Francisco and the Chase Center will host the 2026 edition of the Pokémon World Championships and the PokémonXP thematic convention from 28 to 31 August, international events dedicated to the exhibition and the franchise’s eSports competitions. The program kicks off on Friday 28 August at 6.00 pm Italian time with the opening ceremony broadcast live on the official Twitch and YouTube channels, at which time the address to access Nebula Island in the Pokémon video game Pokopia is made knowna special map that can be freely explored by users with a virtual viewer and an active subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service.
The broadcast schedules, which can be consulted for the conferences and panels on the PokemonXP.com website and for the tournament phases on the official championship page, cover the competitive challenges in the main titles of the series and conclude with the final ceremony scheduled for Monday 31 August at 04:30 Italian time.
During live broadcasts on Twitch, registered viewers can redeem digital items and unlockable rewards for the Pokémon Champions, Pokémon Live TCG, Pokémon Pocket TCG, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE gameswhose redemption methods are detailed in the dedicated rewards section.
The event also includes the debut of the musical song “Ichiban”, chosen as the official soundtrack of the event and collected together with other celebratory songs in a thematic playlistwhile constant updates on the fair’s activities and on the competitive circuit are published respectively in the portals dedicated to PokémonXP, to the 2026 World Cup and on the portal of the competitive program Play!
