UNIVERSAE and RootedCON come together to train professionals in the management and direction of cybersecurity

The European Commission estimates that up to 168,000 cybersecurity experts will be needed in Europe in the coming years. For this reason, UNIVERSAE has launched its own Master’s Degree in Strategic Management of Cybersecurity, which has the RootedCON seal and whose objective is to train high-level professionals who want to direct or Manage cybersecurity departments.

This own Master’s degree has opened the enrollment process and will begin its classes in March 2023, with a duration of one year. The educational center seeks to train professionals capable of lead, manage and resolve situations in the field of cybersecurity. In this way, students will be able to develop their work and defend any type of organization or infrastructure, both public and private.

The degree, the result of the agreement between the two entities, arises from the unstoppable advance of digitization, which has made cybersecurity a priority for institutions and companies. They all seek to protect themselves from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and that is Only in 2021 Spanish users suffered 51,000 million cyber attacks to their computers, being the most affected country in Europe, according to ESET figures.

Within the framework of this situation, the demand for qualified profiles in the area of cybersecurity has skyrocketed. “Cybersecurity is an absolute priority for public institutions and companies. Aware of this, at UNIVERSAE we have launched this disruptive Master’s Degree with which we intend to train the professional cybersecurity elite in Spain”, says Andrés Soriano, CISO of UNIVERSAE.

Soriano adds that “the differential element of this own Master resides in the faculty”, with “some of the most relevant figures in the sector”, and in the “wide number of technological tools that the center is available to the students to solve any type of situation that they may face tomorrow”.

Through the ‘learning-by-doing’ methodology (learning through training in real scenarios) and with a 100% online format, students will be able to interact as they learn so that know how to identify and solve situations that they will encounter when working as cybersecurity directors.
