Happy to the moon: former astronaut Buzz Aldrin married his girlfriend

Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, a member of the Apollo 11 crew, who made the first manned landing on the moon, celebrated his 93rd birthday with wedding number four with his girlfriend – Dr. Anka Faure.

Aldrin said on his Twitter account Friday night that he and Paor (63), who has served as vice president of Aldrin’s venture company since 2019, were married in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles, and that they are “as excited as teenagers running away” (to get married). In the photographs published by Aldrin, he is seen wearing a suit with a US Air Force medal and badge on it, while Faure is wearing a lace dress and holding a huge bouquet of flowers.

Aldrin was married to Joan Ann Archer from 1954 until they divorced 20 years later. He was married to Beverly Van Zyl from 1975 to 1978, and his third marriage to Lois Driggs Cannon lasted from 1988 to 2012.
