Sharpboys Iranian hackers leaked details of hundreds of thousands of Israelis

An Iranian group of hackers called sharpboys, which last year broke into a number of websites including “Lematyl”, broke into the computers of the “Atid” group. In the day that has passed since their first announcement on the subject, they managed to leak a file that includes 200,000 names, ID numbers and addresses of Israelis.

In addition, personal documents were leaked and it is claimed that alongside these details – the source code of one of the applications related to the group was also released. Later, information including presentations, PDF files and various documents, arranged in folders, was also published – and it can be estimated that the information came from the computer of a teacher who teaches at the institution.

The “Future” group stated: “The “Future” group faced a hostile cyber attack behind which were elements from an enemy state who wanted to continue to carry out strategic attacks on the leading academic and educational institutions in Israel. Fortunately, our defense systems were able to repel the attempt to take over the systems. As far as we know, little leaked information and we are in continuous contact with the national cyber system that closely accompanies the management of the incident and with the authorities, alongside professionals who accompany us, and as we receive additional instructions we will act accordingly. We will continue to act in all the ways available to us to protect all the information in our possession as we have done so far.”
