Rise of the Ghost Lord and Resident Evil 4 will arrive on the PlayStation VR2 headset before 2024

PlayStation has confirmed the arrival of the video games Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord and Resident Evil 4 VR Mode to its PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset, which can be played before the end of this year 2023.

This announcement was made at the State of Play event, which took place just a few hours after the one organized by Nintendo and in which it also announced its new features, among which are the remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

For its part, Sony has recalled in this context the imminent arrival of Roblox to their consoles, something that was confirmed a few days ago and that already has a release date: it will be next October 10 when users will be able to create their own playable worlds on this platform.

Another of the video games discussed in this broadcast, which lasted around half an hour, has been Final Fantasy VII Rebirthof which a trailer has been shared in which characters like Red XIII and Cait Sith appear, Vincent, Cloud, Sephirot and Aeris, and locations like Cosmo Canyon, Gold Saucer and the Forgotten City.

This title will arrive on PS5 on February 29, with changes to the combat system, which introduces the synergy movementsi.e. a mechanic whereby the player can freely use commands and synergy abilities at any time using a gauge charge in a similar way to how limit attacks work.

Those responsible for the game have highlighted the playing style of Red XIII, which acquires a ‘revenge gauge’ mechanic, which can be used in a more offensive or more defensive way.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 It will also release a larger map, to the point that the developers of this sequel, Insomniac Games, have commented that They are “almost doubling” in size. This title, which will arrive on October 20 for PlayStation 5, adds to the list of villains Kraven the Hunter and Venom and to defeat them, there is also a new set of skills and abilities for the two Spider-Mans and 65 costumes inspired by this superhero’s universe.

A date has also been set for the release of downloadable content (DLC) for Separate Ways, which tells the story of Ada Wong, in Resident Evil 4 Remake: It will be on September 21 and will come along with an update for Mercenaries Mode, in which Ada Wong and Albert Wesker join as playable characters. Free DLC for PS VR2, Resident Evil 4 VR Mode, is coming this winter.

A new Ghostbusters multiplayer has also been shown at the PlayStation State of Play, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord. Set in the city of San Francisco, it brings together four friends who must equip themselves with the necessary accessories to capture ghosts. This title, which also has a single-player mode, will be available on October 26 for PS VR2.
