Lenovo and F1 team up to virtually put fans in the driver’s seat with the ThinkReality VRX headset

Lenovo and Formula 1 have announced the proyecto Lenovo ThinkReality VRX F1 with which they will allow followers of this motorsports competition to access an exclusive racing mini-game in virtual reality (VR).

Lenovo ThinkReality VRX F1 game allows users drive an F1 car through a replica of the Suzuka International Circuit or the Circuit of the Americas, controlling its speed with the buttons on the controls of the visor ThinkReality VRX.

The experience is the same as that of traditional electric track cars, as Lenovo has highlighted. Pilots can skid on curvesbut if they accelerate too much in a corner, the car can go off the track.

The objective is to achieve best lap time. Player results are displayed on the scoreboard, which can be projected onto an external screen.

This game also uses the artificial intelligence Generative (AI) for design elements of racing cars and track, as well as for voice-overs and programming assistance, as Lenovo reported in a press release.

The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX F1 game will also be available at Lenovo Tech World 2023, which will take place from October 23 to 24 in Austin, Texas (United States)
