Huawei Nova 9 SE, with 108MP camera and 90Hz screen, lands in Spain for 349 euros

Huawei has unveiled in Spain a new handset from the new family, the Huawei 9 SE, which has the distinct appearance and includes features geared at an excellent quality-price ratio, such as a 66-watt quick charge, a 108-megapixel camera, and a 90Hz screen.

The Nova 9 family enjoyed “great success” last year, prompting Huawei to bet on the brand in Europe, announcing the introduction of the Nova 9 SE in the Spanish market on Friday, a team in which Huawei has emphasized its design, camera, and user experience.

In a press conference, Huawei Spain Product Marketing, Miguel ngel Gómez, acknowledged that the Nova 9 SE is aimed at a part of the population that is searching for “something unusual” and a “as excellent as possible” quality-price ratio.

In terms of design, the Nova 9 SE keeps the brand’s DNA and one of its distinguishing features: the main camera’s double ring. This component also includes four sensors, including a 108-megapixel (MP) primary sensor, a 2-megapixel (MP) depth lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 112-degree field of view.

Artificial intelligence and software optimization are used in the main camera to ensure that the wide angle does not distort the extremes. According to Gómez, it is the company’s “biggest camera” put on a “smartphone” that is also mid-range.

It also has a number of modes for improving low-light photography, including as night photography and low-light self-portraits. Self-portraits with a bokeh effect, which blurs the background, are also possible.

Nova 9 SE also includes tools for creativity, such as Petal Clip, the company’s video editor with various filters and effects, as well as video modes, such as continuous recording with front and rear cameras -which does not interrupt recording when switching from one to the other- and DualView mode, which records simultaneously with both cameras.

This’smartphone’ has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G processor and a 4,000mAh battery with a 66 watt quick charging system for performance. This implies that the phone charges in roughly 36 minutes and can be used for up to 14 hours of browsing or 15 hours of gaming once fully charged.

The company has given it with a particular architecture in the form of a sandwich that enhances heat transmission by 30% to minimize overheating.

The business has equipped this’smartphone’ with a 6.78-inch IPS screen with decreased bezels (1.05mm), allowing it to cover 94.85% of the screen area. It has a Full HD+ resolution (2,388×1,080p) and a refresh rate of 90Hz, making it ideal for gaming.

Device+, which enables quick pairing of accessories such as wireless headphones; Touch Turbo, which in game mode offers touch precision with up to ten fingers and an 8x increase in resolution; and One hop, which uses NFC technology to link and control other Huawei devices, such as speakers or televisions.

The Nova 9 SE will be available in Spain on March 28 for 349 euros and will come in only one configuration: 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
