Javier Sánchez, a former Amazon engineer who was part of the creation of Alexa, the virtual assistant, launched his own project and developed MeowTalk. This app Its objective is to be able to translate the meows of a cat to establish a more fluid relationship, and meet the needs of the animal.

As for how to use the app, it is very easy. You only need the microphone of your cell phone to work correctly, since with the recording of the sound that the feline emits the translation is made.

How MeowTalk works

First of all, you must download the application, which is free. Sign in and complete a simple form with the details of the cat whose meows you want to translate. This step is essential, since its characteristics will be taken into account so that the result of the app’s operation is correct.

The next step is translation. To do this, you must click on the large orange logo located in the center of the screen.

Once the meow is detected, the app offers you an immediate response and this way you will know what it wants to communicate to you. Some of them are: “Feedme”; “I’m here”; “I’m angry”; “Mommy”; “Something hurts”; “I love you” and “I’m scared.”

The app also allows you to save a limited sound history, because although it has free access, it has the possibility of purchasing a membership and expanding the functions. In the case of paying the cost, you access automatic translation, recordings can be downloaded and it even has a smart speaker.
