Span acquired a 100% stake in the related company Bonsai

The Croatian IT company Span concluded a contract for the purchase and sale of 30 percent of the business share in the company Bonsai, the value of the transaction is 750 thousand euros, and by purchasing the remaining 30 percent, it acquired 100 percent ownership and announced its intention to merge Bonsai with Span.

At the same time, the intention to merge the related company Ekobit, which is wholly owned by Span, was announced.

The integration of Bonsai and Ekobit into Span will unify Span’s offer of developing software and AI solutions. The goal is to achieve a unique appearance on the market, within the same company and under the unique Span brand. Along with cloud and cybersecurity, artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key strategic directions of Span, it is stated.

The target date of entry into force of the merger is the end of the second quarter of 2024, after which the associated companies Bonsai and Ekobit will operate under the unique Span brand.

AI solutions began to be implemented more and more intensively in organizations, and the availability of generative artificial intelligence accelerated that process even further. In the business environment, more and more options are being considered in which solutions based on artificial intelligence can improve business and improve processes, says Span.

“AI is no longer something that is only talked about, artificial intelligence is entering business through the big doors. With this merger, we will further strengthen Span’s AI offer within the key segments of our business, and I expect that it will give us the development of that part will generate a significant profit in the years to come”, stressed the president of the Span Management Board, Nikola Dujmovi, in a statement that is transmitted in the press release.
