Applications for incentives for electric cars and hybrids are starting soon: It is known which cars are on the list

From April 22, citizens will be able to request incentives for the purchase of energy-efficient vehicles from the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency through authorized distributors, and for this they have at their disposal a record 15 million euros, the Fund announced on Sunday.

“The interest will certainly be great, but that’s why this year we have provided the citizens with an ever-larger amount of funds. Compared to previous public calls, the total amount of incentives has more than doubled, so we expect that everyone who is seriously thinking about buying a new energy-efficient vehicle should take advantage of the Fund’s co-financing options,” said Fund director Luka Balen.

On the website vozimoeko.fzoeu.hr all authorized vehicle distributors

On the website vozimoeko.fzoeu.hr you can find all authorized vehicle distributors and their sales points where they offer almost 300 models of different brands of energy-efficient vehicles that are available on our market.

It is possible to get up to 40 percent of the funds per individual vehicle, and only new energy-efficient vehicles are acceptable for co-financing, and the total price, including any discount and VAT, does not exceed 50,000 euros.

The maximum amount of incentive depends on the vehicle category – for electric cars it is up to 9,000 euros, for plug-in vehicles up to 5,000 euros, and up to 2,500 euros for motorcycles and scooters.

In order to exercise the right to co-financing, all interested citizens should first select the desired vehicle and contact one of the sales points registered in the database of the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.

After citizens have decided on the make and model of an energy-efficient vehicle, it is necessary, in cooperation with the selected authorized sales point, to prepare all the necessary documentation. The request for co-financing must contain a certificate of the applicant’s residence, an offer to purchase a vehicle issued by the point of sale, an advance payment invoice and proof of receipt of the mandatory minimum advance payment to the account of the point of sale (at least seven percent of the required amount). incentives).

“The goal is to have about 2,000 new energy-efficient vehicles on our roads by the end of the year, co-financed by the Fund. The plan is to continue with the ‘We drive economically’ program because we are aware that the market still depends on our incentives and it is precisely they who are preferred for the purchase of more energy-efficient vehicles”, says Fund Director Luka Balen.

And the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Damir Habijan, believes that state incentives play a key role in encouraging consumers to choose a more environmentally friendly option when buying a new car.

“Along with incentives for the purchase of vehicles, the state also co-finances charging stations for all those who install solar power plants on their family homes. This is an opportunity to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and improve the air quality in our cities,” the minister said. Habian.
