Search engine Brave has added a new capability called Answer with AI, which is available for free and allows users to get answers powered by Artificial intelligence Generative (AI) in real time.

Brave is a private web browser created by Javascript programming language developer and co-creator of Mozilla and Firefox, Brendan Eich, which was launched in November 2019 and adopts its own search engine, Brave Search.

The company has announced that this search engine has been updated to incorporate AI and synthesize information from multiple sources into a “unique and intelligible answer for almost any query”, which the firm considers “an important step forward” with respect to the tool. Summarizer.

Announced in March 2023, Summarizer is capable of providing “concise and direct” answers at the top of results pages, which does not depend on third parties and is based on its own development models.

In this case, Answer with AI from Brave Search, which comes with a button built into the search engine that produces almost instant answers with cited sources and alongside traditional search results. All in real time. These also come from an independent scale search index.

The firm has commented that it is a solution that was born with the objective of providing “not only answers, but also an integrated system” to satisfy the needs of users; intentions that are divided into different categories, such as informative queries, specific searches or question-type queries.

He also said that the AI-powered search engine, capable of handling 10 billion queries a year, can even combine index data and local geographic results to provide information on points of interest to users.

Brave has indicated that this functionality is now available for free through search.brave.com, with support for queries in several languages ​​​​in addition to English and for all users, both in the web version of the search engine and in mobile applications.

If users use Brave Search as their default search engine, they will only need to start a search in the browser’s address bar and click on said button.
