The collection includes 20 items, designed to create a comfortable and engaging gaming environment when playing, and which integrates harmoniously into the home environment when the game ends. With a rapidly growing global community of gamers, now numbering 3.3 billion people, gaming is considered the most popular hobby in the world and represents a fundamental element in the daily lives of many, and after the first series of mobile gaming created with Republic of Gamers in 2021, the Swedish giant relaunches with intelligent solutions for gamers who appreciate style and functionality.

The range, available from September 2024 in all the brand’s stores, offers a variety of furniture, storage solutions and accessories. Many items are multifunctional and designed to be moved and adapted to different spaces, allowing gamers to quickly set up an immersive gaming environment and then easily return to their everyday living space. Philip Dilé, product design developer at Ikea in Sweden, says: “With Brännboll, we embrace the idea that gaming is for everyone and has its place everywhere in the home. It’s about making it easy for people to create spaces that fit for play, everyday life, and everything in between,” and continues, “We hope this collection encourages friends and families to interact together, bringing joy and connection through shared gaming experiences.”

Seating is the core of the collection, with a variety of ergonomic chairs designed to support different postures and play scenarios, including an inflatable chair. Additionally, the collection includes a gaming station with a folding table, integrated PC storage, cable management, and easily transforms from a playfield to a discreet storage unit. Various storage solutions complete the collection, such as a wall-mounted wardrobe, coffee tables on wheels and a multifunctional basket that doubles as a freestanding coffee table. Added to these are accessories and decorative elements, such as a mouse pad, a carpet and a throw, designed to personalize the gaming space.
