Samsung Electronics Italia, as the global partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has announced the members of Team Samsung Galaxy for Italy. The team is made up of five athletes selected to represent the Olympic spirit according to the theme “Open Always Wins”, promoted by Samsung, which celebrates open-mindedness as the key to discovering new perspectives and infinite possibilities. The team’s ambassadors include the sprinter Marcell Jacobs, Olympic champion at Tokyo 2020, the surfer Leonardo Fioravanti, the emerging long-distance runner Mattia Furlani, the break dancing champion Alessandra Chillemi and the skateboarder Alessandro Mazzara.
Nicolò Bellorini, Vice President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business of Samsung Electronics Italia, expressed great enthusiasm for the formation of this team of young Italian athletes: “With an open spirit, every new challenge becomes an opportunity to shine: our team carries on this attitude with determination and passion. We are ready to demonstrate that in openness and free self-expression lie the keys to success and the realization of dreams.” The long-standing collaboration between Samsung and the International Olympic Committee, which began with the Nagano Olympic Winter Games in 1998 , demonstrates the brand’s ongoing commitment to supporting the organization of the Games through the latest technological innovations. The aim is to make the Games increasingly inclusive, overcoming mental, physical and linguistic barriers and promoting diversity in the world of sport.
