DC and Marvel superheroes survive the world of Fallout in these images made by artificial intelligence | Batman | Thor | Spider-Man | Captain America | TECHNOLOGY

In recent years, the well-known genre of post-apocalyptic fiction has seen a renewed boost thanks to the release of series such as “The Last of Us” and “Fallout”, whose novel premises helped to revitalize a well-used genre. This recent popularization has also had its effects among fans of creating images through artificial intelligencewho have populated their social networks with images of worlds diminished by cataclysms.

One of the creators of this content is the Instagram user @midjourneyhero, who combined his usual fascination with Marvel and DC Comics superheroes with the post-apocalyptic genre in a series he called “Raider superheroes after a nuclear catastrophe” and which shows characters like The Punisher, Flash and Thor adapting, to a greater or lesser extent, to the new world.

For its part, Iron Man’s armor seems quite appropriate for a post-apocalyptic world, taking certain characteristics of the Brotherhood of Steel from the “Fallout” video game saga.

The images were created by the generative artificial intelligence program Midjourney, which allows you to create images from textual descriptions.

Captain America and Spider-Man receive particular interest from Midjourneyhero, receiving their own series of origin story images. For example, about Steve Rogers he writes: “In the wake of a nuclear apocalypse, the ideals of Captain America survive in a world torn apart by chaos and despair. Clad in a battered combination of his iconic suit and salvaged military equipment, Captain America emerges as a beacon of hope in a shattered society.

Some of the images were produced by @esheffects, a creator who “explores the fusion of art and artificial intelligence, using AI and Photoshop.”
