Apple presents iPad Pro with M4 chip and Oled screen

Apple has announced the new version of the iPad Pro, enriching it with advanced technologies and designed to offer an optimal user experience for both professionals and general users. The new iPad Pro will launch on May 15 in stores and will be available in two screen sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches. The 11-inch model is 5.3mm thick and weighs just under 450 grams, while the 13-inch model is slightly thinner at 5.1mm and weighs 110 grams less than its predecessor. Both models are made from a 100% recycled aluminum shell and are available in silver and space black.

Apple introduces Ultra Retina XDR, described as the world’s most advanced display. It uses OLED Tandem technology, which boosts the screen brightness up to 1000 nits for SDR content and 1600 nits for HDR. This technology allows precise control of color and brightness at the pixel level, essential for professionals who require accurate color management.

At the heart of the new iPad Pro’s performance is Apple’s M4 chip, based on 3-nanometer technology that improves power efficiency and performance. This chip supports a new display engine and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. The CPU features up to four performance cores and six efficiency cores, while the 10-core GPU introduces technologies such as mesh shading and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. The Neural Engine in the M4 chip is capable of performing up to 38 trillion operations per second, making the new iPad Pro particularly effective for AI applications.

Apple also presented new accessories, such as the Apple Pencil Pro (149 euros) and the new Magic Keyboard (starting at 349 euros), designed to further expand the functionality of the iPad Pro. The iPadOS operating system adds new capabilities, such as Stage Manager and better support for external monitors, underscoring Apple’s goal of making the iPad Pro a more versatile and capable platform. Prices of the new iPad Pro start from 1,219 euros for the 11-inch model, from 1,569 for the 13-inch one.
