OPPO has presented its new series of ‘smartphones’ Reno 12, with the Reno 12 and 12 Pro models which integrate a new design of curved screen on all four sides and MediaTek processors, with the Dimensions 9200+ integrated into the Pro model.
The technology company has unveiled its new mid-range devices in China, where it has highlighted the new design of ‘smartphones’, which have a Curved screen on all four sides for a more immersive experience something that is usually limited to the side edges and, in this case, also applies to the top and bottom edges.
Continuing with its design, the Reno 12 also have rounded corners and a smooth back, whose material changes depending on the color. In the case of the silver version, OPPO has indicated that it uses “liquid silver glass” which shows a three-dimensional fluid texture capable of varying depending on the light. They have also been presented in black and pink, and a purple-silver version on the Pro model.
Likewise, both devices have a screen 6.7 inch AMOLED, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. This screen is capable of reaching 1,200 nits of maximum brightness and reproducing 1.07 billion colors. Furthermore, it is Protected by Gorilla Glass.
OPPO has also pointed out the photographic capabilities of the Reno 12 and 12 Pro, which have a camera made up of a sensor 8 MP wide angle and a 50 MP telephoto lens with a 2x zoom.
However, the main sensors vary, in the case of the Reno 12 Pro, has a 50 MP wide-angle lens and OIS stabilization, this sensor is larger than the Reno 12, which also has 50 MP.
Regarding its power, the Reno 12 Pro integrates a Dimensity 9200+ processor, with eight cores and capable of reaching a maximum frequency of 3.35GHz. For his part, the Reno 12 lose a chip Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Editionalso an eight-core processor with a maximum frequency of 3.1GHz.
In addition to all this, the new smartphones share a battery, with a power of 5,000 mAh and 80W fast charging. Likewise, they also include a fingerprint reader under the screen, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 connection and compatibility with NFC connection. Regarding its operating system, OPPO has detailed that they use ColorOS 14.1.
The new OPPO series have been presented in China with a memory capacity RAM to choose between 12 and 16 GB and storage ranging from 256 GB to 512 GB. Thus, the Reno 12 has been launched with a price of 2,700 yuan (around 343 euros at the exchange rate) and the Reno 12 Pro has been made available for 3,400 yuan (around 433 euros at the exchange rate).
