Second armed attack on Jews in the US in a day

An ultra-Orthodox Jewish man in his 30s was stabbed in the face while walking along a Flatbush street in Brooklyn on Tuesday, October 29.

The victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is assessed as serious but stable.

According to eyewitnesses, the attacker, a black man wearing a ski mask, stabbed the victim while shouting extremist slogans.

This is the second incident of armed attack against Jews in the United States in a day. A day earlier, in Chicago, a gunman opened fire on a 39-year-old Jewish man on his way to a synagogue, wounding him in the shoulder.

The police arrived at the scene and entered into a shootout with the attacker. He was seriously injured and was taken to hospital, where his condition is listed as critical. There were no injuries among the police.

The shooter was later identified as 22-year-old Sidi Mohammed Abdallahi.
