Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas sent a message to newly elected US President Donald Trump and congratulated him on his victory. According to Maan, Abbas expressed his desire to cooperate with Trump in achieving peace and regional stability.
“The Palestinians seek freedom, self-determination and a state of their own, in accordance with international law. Our commitment to peace is unshakable. We are confident that, under your leadership, the United States will support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people,” the Palestinian leader wrote.
