Russia announces the destruction of 22 Ukrainian drones

MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that air defense systems destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones last night. The ministry stated on its channel on the Telegram messaging application that 10 marches were destroyed over the Rostov region in the south, while the rest were destroyed in Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Bryansk, and Smolensk. In this context, officials in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, said on Wednesday that a Russian drone attack caused three people to be injured, two of whom were taken to hospital. The attack came after Russia launched an unprecedented number of drones towards Ukraine on Tuesday, which led to a power outage in a large part of the city of Ternopil in the west of the country.
