“It is with great pain that I am leaving the CP faction.” Aghazaryan

“It is with great pain that I am leaving the CP faction,” MP Hovik Aghazaryan announced in the National Assembly today, noting that he was removed from the ranks of the party by yesterday’s decision of the “Civil Agreement” party board.

Aghazaryan said that there will be an opportunity to address the justifications.

“First of all, I would like to apologize to my party colleagues, who caused slight damage to the reputation of our team with my behavior and actions. I don’t want to put my colleagues from the CP faction in a difficult situation one more time and discuss my issue to remove them from the faction. I myself announce that I am leaving the CP faction with great pain,” Aghazaryan announced today in the National Assembly.

After the MP’s speech, the Speaker of the Parliament, Alen Simonyan, asked the NA Secretariat to ensure Aghazaryan’s transfer from the faction to another place in the session hall.

CP reported late yesterday evening that according to the decision of the party board, Aghazaryan was removed from the party. The reasons for the dismissal are the leaks of confidential information of state and party importance, as well as gross violations of public moral norms.

The process against Aghazaryan’s mandate began after a fight with Argishti Kyaramyan, now former head of the Investigative Committee, in the National Assembly. Kyaramyan accused Aghazaryan of interfering in the criminal case against his son. Pashinyan admitted a few days later that he had asked Aghazaryan to drop the mandate.

Aghazaryan is involved in another case in the Anti-corruption Committee. there is a suspicion that he sponsored a small cattle business.

Aghazaryan announced on December 2 that he rejects the Prime Minister’s request and will not give up his parliamentary mandate. He made the most difficult decision of his life based on the criminal cases related to him, the government deputy justified.

After Aghazaryan’s decision, the speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, said that he thinks that the MP no longer has a way with them.
