The US president, Donald Trump, said Monday that Israel is a “quite small” country in terms of territory and that “that’s not right.”
Trump was in the Oval Office with journalists when they have asked him if he would support that Israel annexed the West Bank. “I’m not going to talk about it. It’s quite small. It’s a small country in territory,” he said.
“Do you see this boli? This great boli that I have on my desk is the near East and the tip would be Israel. That’s not right, right? There is a big difference. It is an analogy and it is quite precise,” he added.
“It is a fairly small land. It is admirable what they have been able to do if you think about it. There are many good things. A power of intelligent brains, but it has a very small territory. There is no doubt,” he continued.
