On June 22, the heir to the throne of Saudi Arabia will arrive in Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that in the coming days, the heir to the throne of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of the kingdom, will visit Ankara. The visit should demonstrate that the conflict between the two states is a thing of the past.

“The heir will arrive on Wednesday, we are happy to welcome him. With the help of Allah, we will have the opportunity to assess to what height we can raise bilateral relations,” the head of state said. Turkey, suffering from high inflation, is interested in attracting Arab capital to stabilize the economy.

Relations between the two states were almost severed after Saudi opposition leader Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the consulate of the kingdom in Istanbul. Turkey accused Prince Muhammad of the crime. However, the investigation was subsequently discontinued, and all materials were transferred to Saudi Arabia.
