A German report revealed how Tehran continues to violate the nuclear deal

The annual security report of the city of Hamburg published yesterday revealed that Iran was involved in the purchase of illegal technology from a man of German-Iranian descent, which included laboratory equipment worth one million euros, and was intended to advance Iranian missile and nuclear programs.

The German federal prosecutor’s office said the man, known as Alexander J., would illegally export a wealth of complex laboratory equipment and during 2018-2020, sold it to European companies that are sanctioned and based in Iran. The equipment is used to manufacture technology for the Iranian regime’s nuclear ballistic missiles.

Another case occurred in January 2020, in which Alexander J. sold laboratory equipment to an Iranian businessman without the required export license. The Hamburg intelligence agency said a search was underway for two more partners involved in the affair.

The report states that “Iran is continuing its efforts to acquire the components needed for its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, and is using coverage companies and other programs to defraud businesses and individuals.”
