Rubio will visit Israel next week and discuss the issue of Iran

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Israel next week, where he will discuss the issue of Iran. The news was reported by the State Department, noting that Washington has concentrated large military forces in the region against the backdrop of growing tensions with Tehran.

Yesterday, representatives of the USA and Iran held the third round of indirect negotiations in Geneva. There was no report of reaching an agreement.

The foreign minister of Oman, who is acting as a mediator, said that the discussions will continue next week in Vienna.

According to the US State Department, Rubio will visit Israel on March 2-3. He also plans to discuss other regional priorities, including the situation in Lebanon and US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
