Germany assumes US tariffs on EU goods will not exceed the existing agreement

Germany assumes that any future US tariffs on EU goods will not exceed the tariff agreement reached in 2025. This was announced by the representative of the country’s government.

According to the German press, during the next week’s meeting in Washington, Chancellor Friedrich Mertz and US President Donald Trump will discuss trade issues, security issues and other issues related to bilateral relations.

Mertz will leave for Washington on March 2, on the same day he is expected to hold talks with US President Trump.
