Strait of Hormuz mined, the blitz freezes the USA

The operations in the Strait have not yet reached a significant scale, but dozens of mines have still been placed in recent days. Iran, despite the American raids against the enemy navy, still has 80-90% of small boats and minelayers: the means that can be used by the Pasdaran, who control the Strait, are sufficient to transform Hormuz into a trap. The Revolutionary Guards announced in recent days that they would attack every oil tanker of passage: the Strait, in fact, has been closed since the beginning of the conflict. On Tuesday, the United States denied the news relating to the escort that would have been provided to an oil tanker: traffic, essentially, is at a standstill.

Trump’s threat

“If Iran has placed mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and we have no news about them, we want them removed immediately,” says Trump, with a post on Truth, reacting on the basis of the rumors. Already on Monday the president of the United States threatened very harsh action in the event of a prolonged blockade of the ‘oil route’. The warning, apparently, did not influence Tehran. On the contrary, the Pasdaran would have challenged the White House, placing Trump at a crossroads.

“If for any reason mines have been placed and are not removed immediately, the military consequences for Iran will be at a level never seen before“, warns the president, who does not appear willing to accept the defeat. “If they removed what was positioned, it would be a giant step in the right direction”, he adds, hoping for a turning point. “We are using the same technology and the same missiles used against drug traffickers to permanently eliminate any vessel that tries to mine the Strait. We will deal with it quickly and relentlessly”. The reaction, explains the president, has already begun: “I am happy to report that in the last few hours we have hit and destroyed 10 minelayers that were not operational”.
