Google presents Veo 3.1 Lite, its most economical model to generate videos for social networks

Google has introduced Veo 3.1 Lite, a variant of its video generation model that offers a fast, but cheaper tool for applications that generate a high volume of videos.

Veo 3.1 Lite allows you to generate videos from text and images, in a horizontal frame (16:9), but also vertically (9:16), more suitable for social networks, and with resolutions that reach 720p and 1,080p.

The maximum duration of the generated videos is eight seconds, but developers can also adjust the time to four or six seconds, as Google indicates on its blog.

The company has highlighted the efficiency of this model, with which developers can create high-volume video applications for less than 50 percent of what it costs in Veo 3.1 Fast, and without losing speed.

The Lite variant follows the launch in January of the Veo 3.1 model, which in addition to offering higher quality results, incorporated support for the vertical format for the first time, very popular on social networks such as YouTube and TikTok.
