Russia denounces the attacks against the Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr and reduces its personnel there “to a minimum”

“Fortunately there are no victims,” ​​he said, before highlighting that the evacuation of two other Rosatom teams is planned for the next few days, as part of a staff reduction “until the situation returns to normal,” as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has indicated that Iran informed it on Tuesday that “another projectile hit the facilities of the Bushehr nuclear power plant”, without causing damage or casualties. “The situation at the plant is normal,” he stated on social networks.

The director general of the organization, Rafael Grossi, has reiterated his call for “maximum containment” to “avoid nuclear security risks during the conflict”, in the midst of the offensive launched on February 28 by Israel and the United States against Iran, in the midst of negotiations between Tehran and Washington to try to reach a new nuclear agreement.

The plant, operated by Rosatom, has a thousand megawatt reactor in operation and two others under construction of the same capacity each. Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov recently conveyed to Washington the risk of attacking nuclear power plants in Iran.

In their latest report, the Iranian authorities have confirmed more than 1,500 deaths due to the offensive by Israel and the United States, although the non-governmental organization Human Rights Activists in Iran, based in the United States, has raised the figure to more than 3,000 deaths.
