Massive Ukrainian attack on Russia, the port of Ust-Luga is on fire in the Leningrad region

On the night of March 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed hundreds of drones to launch a massive strike against Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the Russian military intercepted 389 of them.

One of the main targets of the Ukrainian attack was the port of Ust-Luga located in the Leningrad region. The infrastructure used for fuel exports was hit. A fire broke out in the port, which has not yet been extinguished. There were no injuries, authorities said.

Ust-Luga is one of the largest Russian ports on the Baltic, located approximately 1000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. In 2025, its cargo turnover amounted to 130.5 million tons. Oil, petroleum products, chemicals, coal, and mineral fertilizers pass through the port.

It should be noted that several Ukrainian drones that took part in the strike flew into the airspace of the Baltic countries. One of them crashed into a power plant chimney in the Estonian Auvere. Another exploded in eastern Latvia. There were no casualties.
