Netanyahu affirms that Israel “will continue to attack Iran in coordination with the US”

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated this Friday that the country “will continue to attack Iran in coordination with the United States” as the offensive unleashed at the end of February progresses and which has left more than 2,000 dead in Iranian territory to date.

In a series of statements given after a visit to the headquarters of the Israeli Armed Forces in the city of Tel Aviv, the president stressed that these actions will continue to be carried out with the collaboration of US President Donald Trump, according to a video released by his office.

“Between the Israel Defense Forces and the United States Army, we will continue to attack Iran. This regime is weaker than ever; Israel is stronger than ever,” he asserted, while emphasizing that “together with its friends, Israel will continue to attack the terrorist regime of Iran.”

Thus, he stressed that Israeli forces are “eliminating commanders, bombing bridges and attacking infrastructure.” “We have destroyed 70% of Iran’s steel production capacity,” he added. “This is a tremendous achievement that deprives the Revolutionary Guard of both financial resources and the ability to produce numerous weapons,” he stressed.

On the other hand, he emphasized that the attacks against the Lebanese party-militia Hezbollah “also continue in Lebanon, where ground forces “continue to advance” to “expand the security zone and to protect the communities in the north” of Israel.

To date, Iranian authorities put the death toll from the offensive at 2,076, of which 216 are minors. For its part, the Iranian Red Crescent has reported that the bombings have destroyed or damaged more than 100,000 civilian buildings, almost 40,000 of them in Tehran, the capital. In addition, some 600 schools and almost 300 health centers have been hit in the four weeks of bombing.
