Germany’s women’s tennis team can now only avert a debacle in the Billie Jean King Cup in the final doubles. In the relegation game against Lithuania it was 1:1 after both singles. Noma Noha Akugue won her game against Andre Lukosiute 6:4, 6:4. But because Ella Seidel lost her game against Justina Mikulskyte after a poor performance 6:1, 3:6, 2:6, the final doubles must now decide whether the DTB team will be relegated further. Tessa Brockmann and Nastasja Schunk were supposed to meet Lukosiute/Mikulskyte in Oeiras near Lisbon in the afternoon.
