There has been an attempted arson attack on a synagogue in north London. Two suspects detained

On the night of April 15, two unknown men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing threw two bottles of Molotov cocktails at the Finchley Reform synagogue in north London. The bottles did not ignite and the building was not damaged. This was reported by Sky News.

Police classified the incident as an anti-Semitic hate crime.

A 47-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were later arrested in the Watford area on suspicion of attempted arson.

The investigation is being conducted with the participation of the London Police’s anti-terrorism unit.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan thanked police for their quick response and announced an increased police presence in the area.
