Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained servicemen of the Peresypsky District TCC in Odessa on suspicion of extorting a bribe in the amount of $50,000. According to Ukrainskaya Pravda, the detention was accompanied by a chase and shooting.
The man, who was extorted money from the workers of the mobilization center, pretended that he was ready to pay a bribe, but turned to the SBU. It is also noted that, despite the certificates of a combat participant, he was told that if he did not pay, he would be “taken away.”
The Odessa OTCC confirmed the fact of the detention of servicemen from one of the regional OTCC. The statement emphasizes that the department’s leadership ensures “full interaction with authorized law enforcement officers to clarify all the details.”
