Yerevan welcomes the decision to deploy a new EU civilian mission in Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that this is aimed at supporting the strengthening of the democratic resistance of RA, “addressing hybrid threats”, including efforts to combat disinformation, cyber-attacks and illegal financial flows.

The mission will be notified for an initial period of two years.

The decision on the location of the civilian mission, which was made based on the RA application, ahead of the first RA-EU summit to be held on May 5, is one of the joint initiatives arising from the strategic agenda of the RA-EU partnership, emphasized the official Yerevan.

The mission will start operating in the coming months, will have a two-year mandate and will be called “European Union Partnership Mission in the Republic of Armenia” (EUPM Armenia).
