“It’s not real”: buy a bag of lettuce at the supermarket – and find a surprise inside

A farmer from Australia got an unexpected surprise while preparing dinner for his friends. Reece Smoker planned to make a steak and vegetable salad at his home in Esperance, Western Australia. When he opened a closed bag of lettuce he bought at the supermarket, he noticed a live frog among the leaves.

Laura Jones, his roommate, said they thought at first he was working on them. “He said: ‘Brother, there is a frog in the lettuce,'” she said. “And we said: ‘No, you’re kidding us, it’s not real.'”

Smoker brought the bag into the living room to show Jones and her partner, Billy. When they looked closely, they saw that a really small frog was hiding among the leaves. “There was a little frog that was hiding, and we all just laughed about it,” Jones said. The group decided to call the frog Greg.

Instead of panicking or hurting the frog, they chose to release it in a safe place. Billy said they took her to a natural pool of water near the house. Before releasing her, they decided to say goodbye to her in a particularly amusing way. “We played her you Crazy Frog” said Billy. Thus ended Greg’s short adventure in the bag of lettuce.

Smoker and his partner, Lily Ashby, bought the lettuce that day at the branch Woolworths in Esperance. The supermarket chain responded: “This is a one-off case. Our teams are checking it with the suppliers.” Woolworths She apologized to the family members and provided them with a replacement bag of lettuce.
