US releases second batch of unpublished files on UFOs

According to a statement from the ministry, these are records from the American federal government on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs, as Washington calls UFOs) whose confidentiality was removed as part of the Presidential System for Removing Confidential Seals and Reporting Encounters with UAPs (Pursue, for its acronym in English).

“Since the site’s launch on May 8, 2026, WAR.GOV/UFO has received more than 1 billion hits worldwide, highlighting the unprecedented level of interest in both this topic and the (Donald) Trump administration’s historic transparency effort. The Department of War and its partners are actively working on the third wave of files on UAPs, which will be announced soon,” the ministry said.

According to information from broadcaster ABC, the new batch includes more than 50 videos and other previously classified documents, such as a video from an infrared sensor operated by the US Coast Guard in April 2024, showing an object flying close to an airplane in the American southeast, and a video titled “Instantaneous Acceleration of Syrian UAP”, recorded by an infrared sensor on a US military platform in 2021 and uploaded to a confidential network in 2024, according to the Pentagon.

The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has carried out investigations that have turned up no evidence that these incidents were extraterrestrial in nature, but military officials admit that many remain “unsolved” and cannot be explained.
