IRGC: in response to the American attack, a US airbase was struck

Iranian media reports did not indicate the location of this air base.

Judging by publications in the American media, the IRGC attempted to attack an air base in Kuwait. There were no reports of damage caused.

The US Army carried out a strike near the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas after Iran launched four attack drones towards merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing official sources. According to the publication, the US military intercepted the drones and then attacked the UAV control station near Bandar Abbas.

WSJ interlocutors reported that the Iranian drones were shot down by F-16, F/A-18 and F-35 aircraft. After intercepting four UAVs, F/A-18s attacked a ground team that was preparing to launch another drone.

US administration officials described the strikes as “defensive and limited” and said there was no escalation that could undermine the ceasefire. There were no casualties in the strike, according to two WSJ sources.

Earlier, the Iranian Fars and Tasnim agencies, associated with the IRGC, reported explosions and the operation of air defense systems in the Bandar Abbas area. According to Tasnim, the American strike came after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces attacked an oil tanker trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The agency’s source claimed that as a result of the American strike, “there was no damage or casualties.”
