The son of the last shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, has arrived in Odessa to participate in the conference on the security of the Black Sea region, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko and TSN reported, referring to Telegram channels.
In March of this year, Pahlavi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discussed the situation in Iran and the region.
Black Sea Security Forum started yesterday, 1200 participants are from Ukraine, Europe, USA and other countries, among them are politicians, diplomats, military, experts and journalists.
Reza Pahlavi is the son of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and was supposed to inherit the throne, but after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, the monarchy was overthrown in the country, and the Shah’s family was exiled. Reza Pahlavi himself studied at the US Air Force Academy.
At the initial stage of the US and Israeli military operations against Iran, Pahlavi stated that the Iranian people called on him to “lead the transition period after the fall of the regime” and requested the support of the Persian Gulf countries.
