Kuwait denounces Iran’s “repeated criminal aggressions” and warns that it reserves the right to take measures

The Kuwaiti authorities have denounced this Thursday the “repeated criminal aggressions” of Iran after the attacks launched in the early hours of this Thursday against various US bases and interests spread throughout the region, including the country.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the condemnation of the State of Kuwait and its strongest repudiation, in the most severe terms, of the continuation of the criminal and repeated Iranian aggressions against the State of Kuwait, the latest of which occurred today,” the ministry said in a statement in which it noted that the repeated attacks “reflect an organized aggressive approach” by Tehran.

In this sense, Kuwait has stressed that “it will not accept or tolerate in any way” this trend, which constitutes a “scandalous violation” of its sovereignty and a “flagrant” infringement of the norms of International Law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Apart from this, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry has regretted that these attacks harm efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region, while stressing that Kuwait “reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its vital territories and facilities.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has reported in the early hours of this Thursday the launch of two new waves of attacks against US bases and interests in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, alleging that it is a “response” to the “attack” by the US Army hours before against various points in the Islamic Republic.

The worst part has been borne by Kuwait, which has registered attacks against the US-owned Ali al Salem and Ahmad al Jaber air bases. This barrage of attacks is part of the second consecutive day of aggression exchanged in the region between Washington and Tehran.
