Trump canceled tonight’s planned strikes against Iran

“Given the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been presented to Iran’s top leadership and have been approved, I, as the President of the United States of America, have canceled tonight’s planned strikes and bombings against Iran,” US President Donald Trump said.

Earlier today, the US president wrote on the social network that the United States will hit Iran very hard tonight. Trump also threatened to seize the Iranian Kharg Island in the near future, where about 90% of the country’s exported oil is processed.

Later, already, President Trump said: “Discussions and final provisions have been approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and other countries.” The naval blockade will remain in full force until the final conclusion of this agreement. The time and place of the signing will be announced soon.”

Before the statements of the head of the White House, Iran and the USA had hit each other for the second day in a row. First, the US Central Command announced that it carried out “self-defense strikes” against Iran at night. An oil tanker was also struck off the coast of Oman, claiming that it was carrying Iranian oil. Three crew members were killed. According to Iran’s Mehr agency, in the Gulf of Oman, the US also struck an Iranian ship that was transporting essential supplies to Iran.

Iran, in turn, announced that it retaliated against the American military bases located in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan and caused great damage and destroyed American fighter jets. The US has not commented on these allegations. A child was injured by an Iranian strike in Bahrain.
