Trump accuses Iran of lying about the terms of the agreement: “They have nothing to do with it”

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, accused Iran this Friday of launching a version of the terms of the agreement with the United States that do not correspond to reality. “They have nothing to do with the terms agreed in writing,” he said of the points that have appeared in Iranian state media.

“What they have said, including their weak and pathetic statement about a possible agreement, bears no relation to the truth. They are very dishonest people to deal with. With them, there is no good faith. Incredible!” said the president of the United States on his social media platform.

The Mehr agency published this Friday the Iranian version of the 14 points that currently comprise the draft of this document, conceived for the moment as a framework on which to deepen towards a final agreement.

In it, Tehran makes any agreement subject to the release of its frozen assets, guarantees that Israel will not attack Lebanon and postponing until 60 days after the agreement any talks on its nuclear program, as well as the status of the Strait of Hormuz, among other aspects.

On the other hand, Trump has also echoed some drone attacks that Iranian forces launched last night against Indian vessels leaving the Strait of Hormuz. “It is totally unacceptable,” said the president of the United States, highlighting, however, that they were repelled.

However, Tehran already denounced during the night an attack by the US Army in the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Oman, which, as the Government of India also confirmed, killed three sailors.
