The county was defrauded of hundreds of thousands of euros via a fake e-mail

The criminal offense of fraud was reported to the police on Friday by the officials of the county, stating that the unknown perpetrator misled the officials by falsely presenting the facts via electronic mail and led them to execute a monetary transaction.

The received criminal report has been submitted to the competent state attorney’s office, while police officers from the cyber and general crime line continue further criminal investigation with the aim of discovering the perpetrator, they told the Czech-Slavonian police.
